QFI Labs.

Testing what the papers actually claim

QFI Labs builds software for financial markets and runs the research behind it. QFI Terminal and DeepAlpha are ours.

01 / What we build

Two products, both in use today.

QFI Labs is first and foremost a software company. We built the tools we needed, then opened them to the people who needed the same thing.

One reads the whole market from the top down. The other reads a single instrument from the tape up. Neither manages money. Neither tells anyone what to buy.

02 / How we work

We read the papers, then we test them.

Published results rarely survive contact with data the authors never saw. That is not a complaint about the literature. It is the job.

We take a paper at its word, rebuild it from the rules it describes, and run it forward. Most of what we test fails. We write down both lists, and the second one is the useful one.

03 / Research

Research first. Software second.

Every feature we ship began as a question we could not answer with what was already on the desk. Microstructure. Order flow. Volatility around known events. And the long tail of published effects that people still trade without checking.

What we learn goes two places. Into the software, and into writing.

04 / The products

Built for people who check the claim themselves.

Two pieces of software, one house. They share a view of what a tool is for, which is to show you the market clearly enough that you can make up your own mind.

QFI Terminal

Live, with users

Equity and macro research, options, crypto and other derivatives, with the funds you follow. Type a ticker and the whole company opens.

DeepAlpha

Order flow and footprint

A native desktop platform for index futures. Footprint, volume profile, delta and the levels that matter, for people who read the tape rather than the headlines.

What comes next

In the workshop

The list is short and it is not public. Everything we start has to answer a question we actually have, which is a slower filter than it sounds.

The workshop
05 / The firm

Small, quiet, and slower than we look.

QFI Labs is the house that holds the products and the research. We are a small technical group. Everyone here writes code and everyone here reads papers, and those are not two jobs.

We do not manage anyone's money and we do not intend to.
